MLAP PROJECT - a digital oekaki collaboration with A. Pariah. To see the entire ongoing series go:www.mlapproject.deviantart.com/It’s 7:28a.m. W. Blot is sitting at her desk, staring into the electronic window of her existence. Around her, kindred drones are filing in. Funny you could usually recognize them on the street by their carriage. They walk with purpose, as if they were looking forward to their day. That feeling would last until they have had their first cup of coffee from the newly installed flavored coffee machine. What will it be? French vanilla? Caramel cream? Mocha espresso? Or just the boring Starbucks drip brewed every day at 7:00a.m, 11a.m, and 3:00p.m. If only the System were as transparent…

Sang the Rabbit I and II (play on "Sang de Lapin" - blood of the rabbit) is a 2007 series of two children stories of 40 pages each.  Inspired by and written in the tradition of Aesop fables, the stories are about Lily, who lives in a shoe-house in an enchanted forest, and Olive, a were-rabbit Lily be-friended.  It's a time-consuming on-going project that I hope to complete this year.  Each page is initially digitally rendered then Photoshopped, and printed on Hahnemuhle German Etching paper.  Next, watercolor is added, with the final details done in pigment liners.  Here are a few pages in various stages of completion.

Light of the City is one of several series of photographs I took from 2005 onwards, when I finally converted to digital photography.  Be it artifically or naturally lit, glitzy highrises or urban blight, I think Chicago is a city full of character and a deep sense of history.  It's beautiful in all seasons, and I love living here.

Shine is s series of photographs I took in Hong Kong, where I grew up.  Every year I return to the city to find things different, sometimes drastically changed.  I feel like Alice, travelling through the rabbit hole, looking at everything through a carnival mirror.  It's fun.  It's a little scary.  It's home.
